Serie Leamos: El Condor Y Tayta Cotopaxi

PROJECT SUMMARY:
This project was published in both English and Spanish during my time as a student of illustration at the Ernest G. Welch school of Art and design at Georgia State University.   I Partnered with a student abroad to create this storybook titled “El Condor y Tayta Cotopaxi”, for Serie Leamos, a free digital library for language learners. Working in conjunction with Jeremy Doucette,a writer from the University of Ottowa, I created 16 full color illustrations to accompany his words, collaborating with the translation editor and the Project’s Creative director on design and layout, with different formats for print and online versions. Extensive research went into this project to appropriately and respectfully represent the language, history, and culture of the indigenous people of Peru and Ecuador portrayed in this tale from Andean Mythology.
